The most comprehensive heating and cooling solution is achieved by installing ducted splits. These are the most convenient option, as you can have ducts placed all around the home or office, where they are needed. This makes for a smooth, consistent overall temperature throughout your rooms.
Ducted splits are also the most efficient and economical air conditioning solution. They need to be used less too, as their broad spread and spot placement gets the whole house or office warm or cool much more quickly.
To make sure you've checked out all the options, take a look at cassette splits, and for combined solutions or rooms that don't need a duct, wall-hung splits are also worth a look. You might also need a roof installation to direct the air from your ducted splits through ceiling diffusers spread through the building.
What is a ducted Air-Conditioning system?
Ducted air conditioners are also known as ducted split systems. These are just like a wall split system except they are capable of air conditioning your whole home.
Ducted air conditioning units are generally mounted in the roof or under the house and send warm or cool air to each room through ducts and grills. They cost more to install than evaporative cooling or ducted heaters, but would be around the same price as having both of those systems installed to heat and cool.
They can also have zone motors installed in the duct work to give you greater flexibility over the rooms you want to heat or cool.
