Electric switchboards are used behind-the-scenes in commercial buildings, public areas, schools, factories and many residential occupancy buildings. An electric switchboard receives the main current and allows you to divide and distribute that power throughout a building complex in smaller currents.

You can't get away without the essential functions of a switchboard to switch current flow between different areas, meter the distribution and electricity flow, and provide current protection.

My switchboard has Circuit Breakers – does this protect my staff from electrical shock

The fuses or circuit breakers in your switchboard are not designed to protect you from electrical shock. These are designed to protect the circuit wiring of the building from overload, which will cause fire. An RCD (Safety Switch) will reduce the severity and likelihood of your family or staff experiencing serious electric shock.
