Lots of office and school rooms make great use of motion sensors that know the difference between day and light, and can pick out a person moving around when they shouldn't be. There are some very handy applications in the factory too, aiding safety and efficiency. One example is a sensor that sets off an alarm when objects are detected too close in range to other equipment or areas where people are working. 

It's important to have your sensors put in by a licensed electrician. As safety and security measures, sensors are relied upon and you can't risk faulty workmanship or a late contractor if you're waiting on an installation.
